This photo was taken by Vik Muniz a artists who experiments with a lot of different arts. In this case he experimented with trash. in this project he when to Rio De Brazil Waste land. He took some amazing pictures but my favorite of all of them was the one of "The Death of Marat".The photo was made out of junk like the other photos. What is interesting about this photo is that the photo is made out of trash. We recycle and throw garbage away every day with out knowing that an artist like Vik use it to create art. This photo has a lot of color no one would of thought that garbage has so many colors. I also like the idea of someone doing something that no ones cares about and turning it into something people around the world love and people like the pickers could do something positive. Is what she reading interesting her?
The photographer took a picture of this lady sitting in a bus station reading a news paper. He wanted to show how this lady was sitting down reading about stuff that was going around that time about the freedom riders and the attacks that happened to black people.
The freedom Rider
I think the photographer took a pictures of this because he wanted to show people how the two man got arrested probably for doing something wrong or because they were just black since it was back in the days and black were not consider the same as white. In the photo you can see three white polices, you can also see well dress people like the lady on the right side and the two mans.
